Manuel Antonio National Park was established 1972. The people of Costa Rica established this park to maintain the abundance of the forest and beaches and to create a home for the endangered species. It is 19.53 kilometers squared which makes it know as the smallest national park in Costa Rica. Even though it is small, it also became known as one of the world's most beautiful national parks according to Forbes. It is located in Quepos, Puntoarenas.
