La Fortuna Waterfall is located in central Costa Rica near the Alejuela Province, administered by a local non-profit association. This little town attracts many tourists and includes many hotels. At these hotels, tourists can purchase a hiking trip or horseback riding to go to the waterfall. The entrance fee to the waterfall is $8 USD per person, and prices for either activity may vary.
